Bharti Airtel is on a roll these days. After covering some of the the southern cities of India (Kolkata, Pune and Banagalore), Airtel has now launched its 4G LTE services in Chandigarh as well. The coverage includes the tricity are which means that it will cover all the 3 cities i.e. Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali. Airtel’s 4G services are capable of providing speeds upto 100 Mbps and will be available to both prepaid and postpaid customers.
Airtel 4G LTE Tariff Plans
Airtel 4G services can be availed either through a 4G dongle or a WiFi router, both of which are priced at Rs. 4999 (individually). Coming to the data plans, there are many plans announced by Airtel. Find the details below:
Rs. 999 for 6 GB
Rs. 1399 for 9 GB
Rs. 1999 for 18 GB
Rs. 2999 for 30 GB of 4G data
Rs. 4799 for 50 GB of 4G data usage.
In case the provided usage isn’t sufficient for your needs or if for some reason your usage increases during a month, Airtel has also introduced its extra data plans called Smartbytes. You can add a smartbyte plan to your account anytime, when you need additional data allowance. Smartbyte plans will cost Rs. 600 for 3GB, Rs. 875 for 5GB and Rs. 1500 for 10GB of 4G data.
Introductory offer for new Airtel 4G customers
In the bid to attract customers towards its 4G services, Airtel has also announced an introductory offer which will provide cashback to users to opt for a long term plan. Following are its details:
Rs. 147 cashback every month (for 6 months) on the 999 plan.
Rs. 466 cashback every month (for 6 months) on the 1399 plan.
Rs. 312 cashback every month (for 12 months) on the 1999 plan.
Rs. 417 cashback every month (for 12 months) on the Rs. 2999 and 4799 plans.
These are the initial prices at a time when Airtel has the monopoly over 4G services in India. Other providers such as Reliance and Tikona are also busy in building their 4G infrastructure and once the 4G services are rolled by them, expect the prices to be lowered a bit because of the external competition that Airtel will face.
