It was October when Microsoft announced to shed the unlimited storage plans in OneDrive. It was also announced alongside that the free OneDrive storage will be reduced down from the existing 15 GB to just 5 GB, even if you earned the additional 15GB as a Camera Roll bonus. It is December now and Microsoft is here to make the affected customers happy. How? By letting them retain their 15 GB (or 30 GB) free OneDrive storage.
If you currently have free 15 GB storage, you can retain that. If you’ve also earned the additional 15 GB of free storage by making use of the camera roll bonus, you can retain that as well totaling to 30 GB. There’s no mention of the earned referral bonus, but it will probably be conserved as well.
