Download official Nokia Gallery app for Nokia Android phones

Nokia Android phones sold globally do not come with a Gallery app. The Google Photos app is what serves as the default app to access photos on Nokia devices. Variants of Nokia phones sold in China, however, do feature a Gallery app since Google services (including Google Photos) are not offered in China.

If you are not satisfied with Google Photos and are looking for a Gallery app, then you can download the Nokia Gallery app. It is in English and comes with features that you expect from a Gallery app. The app is developed by Evenwell (which probably refers to Evenwell Digitech Inc.) The Nokia gallery app should work on all Nokia phones running Android 8.0 (Oreo). It should also work on non-Nokia phones, but maybe you won’t feel the need because most phones from other OEMs ship with a gallery app.

You can install the Nokia gallery app on any Nokia Android phone running Android 8.0 or higher. You can use it on – Nokia 1, Nokia 2, Nokia 3, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 6, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7, Nokia 7 plus, Nokia 8, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 8 Sirocco.

Why Nokia does not pre-install the gallery app to its phones?

Nokia is offering a stock Android experience. They are only adding apps which are very important to the user and for which there is no alternative already installed on the phone.

Since Google Photos comes pre-installed, Nokia decided to not include another gallery app on the phone.

Is Nokia gallery app available in Play Store?

No. It is currently not available via the Play Store. You can only download it from the links provided in the post.

We do hope that Nokia at least offers the gallery app via Play Store even if they do not want to pre-install it on the phones.
