Nokia’s mapping and navigational wing titled ‘HERE’ has just expanded over to a new platform – the Apple’s iOS. The expansion brings Nokia’s well equipped mapping and navigational suite to Apple iPhones which are running iOS 7 or higher. The app was initially only available for Windows Phones and has since then expanded to Android and finally reaching iOS now.
Designed for iOS with Offline Capabilities
The new HERE app for iPhone is not a port of Android or Windows Phone version. This means that while being feature rich, it also matches the iOS UX and UI to make it feel like an app for iPhone. Also, unlike the previously available HERE app – which was just a web version, the new HERE app brings majority of the functionality available on other platforms including the awesome Offline Navigation. Just download the maps of your frequently visited locations and you can search for places and navigate there without needing an internet connection.
Other app features include live traffic, scheduled or real-time public transit info as well as photos and reviews for the places shown on the map.
