LogMeIn announced that it will be retiring Cubby on 16th of November 2016. This will leave all Cubby files and shared links inaccessible. If you have important files saved to your Cubby account, your one option is to download all the files to your PC and then upload them to alternatives of Cubby. However, downloading all the files and then re-uploading to other cloud services can be a tedious task. The other option is to make use of a cloud transfer service which can move files for you without a need to download to the PC. Here’s how you can move files from Cubby to its alternatives such as OneDrive, Box, Google Drive, Dropbox, FTP, Mega; etc by making use of MultCloud service.
Move Files from Cubby to Other Cloud Drives using MultCloud
MultCloud is an online service which connects to many cloud drives allowing users to copy/move files across different services. MultCloud is capable of transferring files from Cubby to – Dropbox, Google Drive, Amazon Drive, OneDrive, Box, Mediafire, OwnCloud, FTP, Sugarsync, Mega, MyDrive, Yandex, BaiDu and a few others. The best thing is that MultCloud gives 2TB of data transfer for free which can also be extended upto 10TB by sharing MultCloud with others.
To move files from Cubby to other provider, just:
- Visit MultCloud and Signup for a new account.
Open MultCloud - Click on Add Cloud Drives and connect your Cubby account. Also, add the other cloud service to transfer the files.
- Open the Cloud Transfer tab and select Cubby as the source and the new provider as the destination. It’s nice to create a new folder in the new provider to keep the files organized.
- Click Transfer Now when done and wait for the files to get transferred.
You can check the progress of the transfer by clicking on the task manager button at the top right. You might want to subscribe to their VIP service to speed up transfers.
