Nokia G20 and Nokia G10 – the lookalike duo from 2021 are the next Nokia devices to be upgraded to Android 12. HMD Global has started the rollout today, which should start appearing in more regions in the coming weeks. The Nokia 2.4 started receiving Android 12 around a week ago, ensuring that HMD Global is on the right track to update the eligible Nokia phones to Android 12.
The Android 12 upgrade for Nokia G20 comes with the build version 2_230. Similarly, the update for Nokia G10 comes with the build version 2_210. The update for both comes with the Google security patch from April 2022 and weighs around 2GB. Android 12 update brings new cosmetic changes across the Android UI with Material You implementation, including the changes to the notifications shade. Nokia G20 and Nokia G21 users will also get to experience the new privacy controls.
If you have a Nokia G20 or a Nokia G10, then you can check for updates by going to the phone’s settings > System > System update. As usual, the updates are pushed in phases, and only around 30% of the user base in eligible regions receives the update on the first day of the rollout. So, remain patient if you have do not see it yet.
