Nothing Ear (1) receives an update to enable Gaming Mode sync with Phone (1)

Nothing is preparing for the launch of its first smartphone – the Nothing Phone (1). And what better way to start their ecosystem story than ensuring that their only other product – the Ear (1) TWS work nicely with their smartphone? Hence, Nothing is issuing a software (firmware) upgrade to the Ear (1) to enable seamless connectivity with the Phone (1).

The tiny update is versioned 0.6700.1.88. It enables Gaming Mode sync with the Phone (1). The Ear (1) will automatically enable the low-latency mode if you start a game on the Phone (1). Low latency mode is a feature in the Nothing earbuds that optimizes sync between audio and video while playing games or watching videos, ensuring a lesser lag between the audio and video.

Besides the Phone (1) connectivity enhancement, Nothing has also enabled support for Microsoft Swift Pair. It makes pairing with Windows PC (Windows 10 or higher) more straightforward by issuing a similar pop-up as it does on Android phones. Nothing has also improved battery consumption while using the earbuds for voice calls.
