OnePlus India has announced that it is not able to fulfil the order volumes for OnePlus Nord placed during the pre-order phase. OnePlus is probably not at fault since the OnePlus Nord became the highest pre-booked product in the history of Amazon India. OnePlus aimed to ship out all pre-ordered units by 4th of August.
While OnePlus is trying its best to dispatch/ship the orders as early as possible, they are offering a 1-year warranty extension to the orders which will get delayed. That is, if you have pre-ordered OnePlus Nord and your device ships after 4th of August, then you’ll automatically get 1 year of extended warranty coverage on the OnePlus Nord. That’s not a bad deal if the delay is not for too many days 😁
OnePlus will automatically apply the extended warranty to the eligible devices by 31st August. You can check for the extended warranty plan in the OnePlus care app after adding the device to your OnePlus care account.
Apart from that, OnePlus is also pushing the date for the start of open sales to 6th of August from the 4th of August which they earlier planned.
