Tata Docomo abandons the Rs. 46 Roaming Recharge

Tata Docomo LogoTata Docomo has today discontinued the Rs. 46 Roaming Recharge which offered free incoming calls while roaming on Tata Docomo network for 2 months. Users which have already enrolled for this pack will continue to enjoy it till the expiry provided 2 months.

The sudden deactivation that too only after around 2 months of the launch seems to be pre-planned. The terms of this plan stated that the total validity is of 12 months and after the expiration of initial 2 free months, users will be charged 1.5p/sec for incoming calls while on roaming. So, users will now be struck with 1.5p/sec as the pack is no longer being offered.

The only idea behind offering and then discontinuing this pack seems to be earning more profits. The plan was only introduced as a long term strategy. They’ll earn much more in the next 10 months than the amount they lost during the initial 2 months.

That’s why we always advise users to completely inquire about the terms before going with a plan. For those who have subscribed it just after looking at the advertisement will face much trouble during the coming months. They’ll be required to shed around 50% more on incoming calls while roaming. I still dream when will these private companies stop looking only at profits and go for some social welfare?
